FMLA

The Family Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) provides job-protected leave for family and medical reasons, including birth/care of a newborn, recent adoption, acting as a caregiver for an immediate family member, and more. Learn more about FMLA:

ADA

The Americans with Disabilities Act makes discrimination against people with disabilities, both permanent and temporary, illegal. Employers are required to provide reasonable accommodations for employees. Learn more about ADA rules:

The EEOC

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is a federal agency tasked with enforcing laws against workplace discrimination. The EEOC investigates reports of workplace discrimination. The links below provide instructions for filing with the EEOC.
